The Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Reconstruction Rehabilitation and Resettlement RRR Engr Mustapha Gubio today 12th August 2020 received the UNHCR Country representative in his office Miss Chance Kapaya and her team.
Miss Kapaya said the visit is to strengthen support for the humanitarian intervention in the state. The Country representative said they are in the office to present the sample of additional 280 temporary shelter with Installed Solar Power panels, that will be construct in Damasak town as part of it interventions to the state in it plans of returning IDPs and Refugees that fled to Niger Republic due to Boko Haram attacks since 2014.
In the same vein, Engr Mustapha Gubio also received the Head of United Nations Office For The Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN-OCHA) in Nigeria. The visit strengthen Humanitarian Interventions and facilitates it’s programmes.
The Honourable Commissioner while responding to the UN agencies appreciate the efforts of the UN agencies on behalf of the Borno State Governor Professor Babagana Umara Zulum assured them government commitments and support to achieve the aim goals.
